Other Material Types


  • DVDs are available for 2 week loans to current students, faculty, and staff
  • CDs and videos are one-day loan periods
  • Two audiovisual materials (videos, compact discs, dvds) can be signed out at one time by University members. Alumni and community members must use materials in-house
  • Portable DVD players are available for in-library use
  • Booking or previewing AV material for classes requires special procedures
  • Holds are not permitted on audiovisual materials

Course Reserve Materials

  • 4 hour loans
  • Charge out and renew in-person, renewals may be possible if another 4 hour loan copy is available
  • If there are multiple copies of a title, one copy will be available to borrow on an overnight (1 day) loan
  • Late fines apply
  • Course reserve materials are permitted to leave the McLaughlin Library building
  • Course reserve materials are not available to alumni or community members
  • Course reserve materials cannot be renewed online or by phone
  • Holds on course reserve materials are not permitted; items may be borrowed on a first-come, first-served basis only
  • As a courtesy to other students, please return course reserve materials as soon as you are finished with them, regardless of the length of the loan
