Records of the Developing Countries Farm Radio Network, which was established in 1979 by Dr. George Atkins, when he retired from a 25 year career at the CBC.
DCFRN was designed to gather information about small scale farming throughout the developing world, and to distribute it through a network of local rural broadcasters in these regions.
Originally sponsored by Massey-Ferguson Limited, the organization now receives funding from CIDA and the University of Guelph.
