John T. Schmidt fonds

Various newspaper, rural newsletters, and farm magazine articles written by farm writer John T. Schmidt.  John T. Schmidt wrote columns on agriculture for more than sixty years. He began his career at the family-operated "Ayr News", wrote columns including "Town and Country" in the "Kitchener-Waterloo Record", then later moved to Alberta and wrote for the "Calgary Herald". J. Schmidt also wrote and published several books and was an honorary member of the Canadian Farm Writers` Federation.  He passed away on May 5, 2005.
