Mark your calendars because on July 1, 2023 RACER (the library’s legacy interlibrary loan system) is officially being retired. All users from across library systems will no longer have access to the interface on July 1, 2023. When RACER, an acronym for Rapid Access to Collections through Electronic Requesting, was introduced in 2003 it was a revolutionary system that allowed robust sharing of resources between Ontario libraries and beyond. Twenty years on and with the implementation of Omni in 2019, RACER’s services are no longer needed.
U of G users can continue to optimize the functionality of Omni which allows the seamless requesting of materials from other libraries in one system. Use the Omni Request Form to request materials you cannot find in our collection. Learn more about interlibrary loans.
