Annex information

Retrieval

To request an Annex book or journal volume for delivery to the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, or University of Guelph library borrowers registered with any one of the TUG libraries can place a hold in Omni. Users who are not registered TUG borrowers may request the retrieval of Annex materials through a Circulation Desk.

Books and journal volumes requested from the Annex are normally delivered to the requested pick-up location on the following weekday.

To obtain a copy of an article from a journal located in the Annex, borrowers registered with any one of the TUG libraries may request the item via Omni. Articles will be sent electronically to your email or to the TUG library location specified. Items sent to library locations should be available for pickup at the designated Circulation Desk within 3 business days.

On-site visits

Users who wish to consult materials at the Annex must arrange appointments for on-site visits by calling 1-800-597-8016 or 519-821-7946, or via e-mail at triannex@uoguelph.ca.

On-site visitors should note that the Annex is a closed stacks collection. Staff retrieve requested materials and bring them to Annex study areas for use. Those booking appointments to visit the Annex will be asked to provide call numbers for the items they wish to consult, so the materials will be ready for use upon arrival.

Borrowing

Annex materials which are permitted to circulate may be charged out directly from the Annex or may be retrieved from the Annex upon request and charged out from one of the TUG libraries. Visitors to the Annex must present a currently active ID card from one of the TUG libraries. Materials borrowed from the TUG libraries, or from other Ontario university libraries, may also be returned at the Annex during regular business hours.
